Is Inbox Overload Making You Crazy?

Course opens in March 31st. Sign Up below.

Photo of Kathy by Bill DillerHi! I’m Kat Sturtz.I’m a habitually curious and creatively organized business life coach. Since 2007, my primary focus has been helping writers and artists, coaches, and consultants, and other service-based professionals, who are eager to start and grow a profitable home-based business how to find more time, more money and affordable resources to rock their unique path to success, how to overcome obstacles and hidden barriers, and how to prosper with passion and purpose.
I’m also a bit quirky, intuitive, and a find-a-solution sort of gal. When my own overflowing inboxes started making me crazy, I found a practical and creative way to manage them that I’m sure will work for you, too. If you haven’t already signed up, keep reading and I’ll explain more about what to expect.

We’re almost ready to start. Hope you are, too!

This is new course helps solve one of their biggest time-sucking and frustrating problems busy people like you face daily … overwhelming backlogs of emails stuffing their inboxes. Plus the flood of new emails rushing in.

Sign up now to be among the first to know when the course goes live.

Here’s what you’ll discover in this course:

The 4 Step Process I follow myself to keep my email inboxes under control. Yep, inboxes … as in plural.

How to set goals that meet your criteria and creative nature. I’ll offer advice and suggestions, but you are responsible for the decisions and results. I’ll be around to help you out.

How to implement the system as you go along, when you have time. You’ll be checking your email regularly anyway. Implement a little then, and a little more next time. No insisting from me that you put a bunch of stuff on hold while you get your life together so you can devote full attention to completing each step in a regimented and stuffy manner. Timely manner? You get to decide what that means.

How to remain flexible within a structure that you design and have complete control over, one that you’ll be confident to tweak when it’s clear to you a tweak is needed.

An introduction to my special Triple A Approach. It’s the real key to being creatively organized and staying sane. 🙂 Triple AA is a vital component to managing my life and business, as well as a part of all my training and coaching programs.

A few extra things you should know …

While Gmail is my primary go-to account, much of what you’ll learn can be done in other email systems too, including Yahoo! and Microsoft’s Hotmail|Outlook|Live. If there’s enough interest, and you ask nicely <grin>, I’ll even create some training demos using my Yahoo! and Hotmail accounts.

escape-inbox-eyesBy the way, there’s no guilt-tripping you to comply to my standards of email tidiness allowed in this course. No prodding or cajoling or bribing you to unsubscribe from the multitude of lists you may be on. You have your reasons.

Now, that’s not to say you might not be ready for that about mid-way through. I’m just promising you now that my number one goal is that you finish this course with a personally customized email system that continues to work for you next week, next month, next year, and beyond.

By the time we’re through regularly scrubbing your inbox will be as second nature to you as brushing your teeth each day.

You’re after an easy to manage inbox, right? Right!

This training isn’t my spin on the many Zero Inbox protocols out there. In fact, except to explain why I think Zero Inbox is not a workable solution for creative and intuitive souls like you and I, you’ll hear little mention of it or its rules that feel like a straitjacket to me.

escape-prayI’ve tried a couple Zero Inbox training courses over the years. Failed them miserably. You may have too. And, that’s okay, because while ZI is a great solution for some folks, it isn’t and never will be the right solution for many others.

Moving forward …

You’ll make the quickest progress in taming your inbox if you can block an extra 15 to 20 minutes each day to work on your email system. But, hey, I know you’re busy, so if you don’t keep up as consistently and diligently as you planned to when signing up … I want to make it perfectly clear that it’s okay. Really and truly it is. Scouts honor. Cross my heart and hope to die.

The true beauty of this system is its flexibility

While I don’t recommend it, you can stop using and refining it at any time, then come back and pick up when you’re ready. The process is repeatable … you just need to recommit … then do it.

It’s a bit like when you get way behind in your laundry or have a week’s worth of dirty dishes stacked up. Tackling the mess doesn’t change much. You start where you are … sorting, cleaning, and putting stuff away. Sure, it’ll take longer right then than if you had cleaned up after each meal and took care of the laundry more often.

However, … once you start to catch up, you’re back to a calmer, more orderly environment that’s more welcoming and easier to deal with tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after.

How do I know?

Because once I committed to creating this course it occurred to me that I needed a mess of an inbox to start with. Yikes!

So, donning my best pair of big girl panties, I got very brave and deliberately dismantled many of my own custom controls and stopped following through on the same daily process steps you’ll learn.

I let incoming and unread emails pile up to outrageous numbers. Nearly 20k at last count. Plus I did a lot of deep breathing and tapping to manage my rising anxiety, just so I’d have a broader range of issues and a variety of emails to demonstrate how to handle.

The good news is … I know my creative approach WORKS because I couldn’t wait to escape this revisited inbox insanity once I got done showing you my best and easiest to implement tips, techniques and tweaks.

Sanity is waiting. Are you in yet? I’ll be waiting for you on the inside!
