A year ago a short video on MSN captured my attention. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it mesmerized by how seemingly effortless a crab slips completely out of the shell its body has outgrown.

I came across it again today while updating one of my websites. And, again, I wondered how much easier life would be if we humans allowed ourselves to let go of what no longer serves us … even when that shedding leaves us soft and vulnerable.

Then, after watching it again myself, I realized you might like seeing it, too. Click the image below to read my original post (on my other website) and enjoy the amazing transformation of the crab in the video.

What’s holding you back from growing into your full potential?

What are you ready to shed so you can move on?

Please share your transformation struggles and successes in the comment section below. Your experience has the power to help empower and motivate others to crack open the hard exterior that’s keeping them small and stuck.

After all, isn’t empowering others partly why we all really want to grow into our full potential?

I am shedding my old life of just being a classroom teacher to owning my own tutoring business, author, and world traveller.

Joanne, from what I’ve learned about you recently, it appears you’re on the right path. Let me know if you ever want to discuss some issues one-on-one.

Fear of change can most definitely be crippling. My current struggle is fear of what others think, I’ve allowed it to be a barrier to my success. While it’s an everyday battle to work at conquering that fear step-by-step, its by far one of the most exhilarating things I’ve felt yet. Thanks for this post, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I hope it inspires many, as it inspired me.

I enjoyed the video and admired how easily the crab moved out of it’s shell and expanded fully. Now that is something to emulate. Thanks for sharing, Kathy
