What’s Ahead for You in 2017 with guest Lexis Johnson

By Kat Sturtz Leave a Comment

Astrologer Lexis Johnson

Astrologer Lexis JohnsonLexis Johnson, of I AM the Shift,  shared so generously of her time and talents during today’s Fast Action Friday interview. Not only did she share some valuable information about the past as well as coming year, but did seven … count ’em 7 mini readings for Rocking Your Path community members.

Four of the readings were for attendees who attended the live recording of our interview, plus three more for those not able to attend live but who had submitted their information to me ahead of time.

Feel free to connect with Lexis via her Facebook group: I AM the SHIFT.

Lexis always posts detailed and deep insights in her Facebook group about what’s happening to the energies that affect us as groups and individually based on her perception and analysis of placement of the planets, moons, and other elements throughout our solar system.

While Fast Action Friday episodes are normally 30 minutes long, we planned ahead for extended episode for Lexis, which turned out to be about 90 minutes today! I’ve edited it down to two replays. Part 1 is about 60 minutes, and Part 2 is about 30 minutes long, and includes four additional mini-readings.

Even if Lexis didn’t do your mini-reading, I’m sure you’ll find what she had to say of interest and some details applicable to you and your life.

Enjoy!

Meet Jen Lehner, Digital Marketing Strategist

Jen Lehner, Social Media Strategist

PASSION TO PROFIT

Jen Lehner began her career in non-profit, which taught her how to be resourceful in her marketing. The first in her crowd to get email, sell on eBay, and find a husband on America Online, Jen has always been fascinated by technology, and the power it holds to allow us to take control of our destiny, and connect us.

After launching a local marketing firm to help businesses learn to use digital tools to grow their businesses, Jen saw that the demand for this training was even larger than she anticipated.

She created JenLehner.com and now sells online courses that teach entrepreneurs how to use social media and digital tools to grow their businesses.

She is also a new course author with Lynda (a LinkedIn company), and founder of  The Front Row, a free online classroom for entrepreneurs. Connect with Jen on her Facebook page, Jen Lehner.

Jen’s Fast Action Tips –
Listen to the replay to learn more and how to take action

1. Up the quality of your social media profile. The quality of your social media profile photo is important to the consistency and effectiveness of your branding.

2. Make a choice about the type of branding you want for yourself. Apply it consistently and move on. Don’t get stuck in planning and tweaking.

3. Use your banner space wisely. You can have your default banner be an evergreen offer. But consider changing them out regularly to help promote your freebies and upcoming programs.

4. Include a “clickable” button on your banner. Note that the button itself may not be clickable, but the banner often is … and provides additional opportunities to give viewers more info and links.

Building Authentic Relationships Online with guest Allexia Brewer

By Kat Sturtz Leave a Comment

Allexia Brewer

Allexia BrewerFast Action Friday – Allexia Brewer
April 1, 2016

Allexia is a fierce innovator who lives outside of the box. She is a mastermind facilitator, anthologist, leader and creative think tanker. She loves teaching entrepreneurs how to build a business by building relationships! She is married with three daughters and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Summary: Without relationships, business cannot flourish. Allexia says she is like a seed planter and an innovator who gives women (and men) ideas they may not have considered themselves. She says the tips she gives are precursors to taking action including commenting on someone’s post, before sending a friend request.

Connect with Allexia on Facebook here and check out her FIERCE Women Entrepreneurs group on Facebook here, and on LinkedIn here.

Watch the replay to benefit from all the terrific insight and tips Allexia shared.

Allexia’s FAST ACTION TIPS:

1. Leave your business at the door. We are most authentic when money or reciprocation is going through our mind. Who are you without your business? Forget the money and the real you comes alive!

2. Be curious. You can find anything you want on social media. Show up in an open-hearted manner. Talk about the weather, sports teams in the area, what grows in the area as a way of getting to know people online.

3. Know where you want to spend your time. Pick three groups: one related to business, one related to personal values or interests, go deep and not wide. Know why you are in the group.

4. Be consistent. Not being consistent is online suicide. You need to show up. Visibility and consistency builds trust.

5. Branch out. Talk to new people. If the same people are in the groups you are in, find new groups so you can meet other people.

6. Keep your boundaries. Do not whine. That doesn’t mean you can’t say negative things, but when you do, make sure you also have solutions or start a discussion. If you have a group, everyone is watching how you handle conflict. Make sure you set up some structure and stick to it without being mean and without allowing abuse of anyone.

7. Show up as yourself. Be authentic. Whatever your personality, let people see it. You will attract the type of people who can relate to you and who you can relate to. You do not have to put out your deepest, darkest secrets, but you can share the lessons.
