Marriage of Mindset & Marketing: My interview with Kimberley Wiggins for her Inspired Women Amazing Lives podcast series

By Kat Sturtz Leave a Comment

It’s super satisfying when fate brings people together unexpectedly and the whole of what they accomplish in their time together ends up greater than anyone could have predicted from the expected contributions of each individual?

That’s what happened recently when I responded Kimberley Wiggins’ call for help in the Love People and Make Money Facebook group to which we both belong. I had the pleasure of meeting Kimberley Wiggins in person August of 2018 at Kelly McCausey’s Exposure & Profit 5 event in Atlanta. Since then our paths have crossed cyber lanes here and there.

It was late night. Kimberley had just learned her scheduled marketing coach guest had backed out. Two other guests were already scheduled for the episode set to record next afternoon, and the show’s format relied on having a separate mindset coach and a marketing coach, in addition to the featured “hot seat” business woman volunteer.

Fast Action Fridays show

Candice SinaiReplay with my guest Candice Sinai, Prosperity Scavenger Hunt giveaway winner. We had a some glitches with the live recording on Feb 20, 2015. Luckily, we were able to retape with just the two of us later.

Listen as she shares about her multi-year journey recovering from major illness and her experience and insights participating in the Prosperity Scavenger Hunt, plus some of her plans for the future.
Click here for the audio replay (or right-click to download the mp3 file.)

Don’t miss the special free mediation offer from Candice, plus her three fast action tips below.

Candice really embraced the challenge embedded within the hunt and made it pay off for herself in unexpected and surprising ways.

You can also read more about Candice’s Prosperity Scavenger Hunt experience on Facebook in the Rocking Your Path Community Group. Click here.

Here’s the bulk of what she had to share on Facebook:

“I honestly didn’t think I would find anything because I love to use the soaps and the beautiful stuff day-to-day.

Here’s what I found, and when I added it up, the value of the small stuff is around $175. Adding in the value of the instruments (the old) and the technology, it’s at least $10,000 more of hidden treasure.

What I’ve discovered is, the place where I hold out is one of the most sacred places — it’s with things that have to do with my work in the world.

When I closed my brick and mortar office to heal, I continued collecting and tucking away items that could be used for hosting online events: a Blue Yeti Mic and a couple of other high quality microphones for a recording studio. Journals and beautiful papers I thought would be great to save for hosting a retreat and writing thank you’s, and CD labels for recorded meditations. On top of that, there are two electric Fender Telecaster’s from my brother that could help seed a new business.

This exercise shows me how much we have and how tender we can be. Even when we continue doing the work, there are hidden layers to be revealed. I hid them away so I would not have to see the richness of what was lost and face the feelings. And the belief that i have to have all of my energies restored before playing bigger. I’m sure there is more I CAN do that I’ve been afraid to stretch into out of fear.

The exercise brought forth an honoring of the richness that is already here. I will leave these on display in my home to inform and nurture me. And I thank you, Kat Sturtz, for the gift of this exercise.”

Here are photos of what Candice collected during her prosperity hunt. Be sure to listen to the replay to hear the lasting impact doing the hunt and what she discovered has had on her.

More about Candice

Candice loves serving life and people. She’s a warm-hearted transformational speaker, healing catalyst, and life coach who embodies the principles she loves to convey. In her work, she holds a clear, safe and grounded space for you to discover the healing wisdom of your body, and the innate genius that leads you to create a life that is a true reflection of your highest purpose.

After working more than 20 years as a practitioner and teacher of holistic bodywork, meditation and movement, she came face-to-face with her own healing crises. Eventually she realized she had to close the doors to her business, “BodyWisdom,” to open a bigger door.

Her commitment to discover and bring to light the causes and patterns that led to that healing crises led her through a seven-year journey where she discovered simple, natural ways to discover the gifts inside our challenges. She now helps others rediscover truth inside themselves, and walk their own path with resilience, freedom and peace of mind.

You can connect with Candice on Facebook here or LinkedIn here.

Melonie Dodaro

Melonie Dodaro

Today, I have the great pleasure of being the host on the Final Day – DAY 15 -of the Virtual Blog Tour for Melonie Dodaro, author of the brand new book, The LinkedIn Code: Unlock the Largest Online Business Social Network to Get Leads, Prospects & Clients for B2B, Professional Services and Sales & Marketing Pros.

That book will be celebrating its official launch on Tuesday June 3rd, 2014.

MELONIE DODARO is the founder of Top Dog Social Media, a social media agency that helps brands, businesses, professionals and sales teams use social media marketing and social selling to boost their visibility, attract new customers and increase their revenue. Dubbed by the media as Canada’s #1 LinkedIn expert and social media strategist, Melonie provides LinkedIn training to corporate sales teams and speaks worldwide at both industry and corporate events and conferences.

The LinkedIn Code book coverYesterday, Melonie visited Alisoun Mackenzie’s blog at http://www.alisoun.com/blog where she asked Melonie to share her top 3 strategies for selling through LinkedIn.

Today, I’d like to share with you a recent interview I had with Melonie where I asked her about writing clear LinkedIn profiles and using LinkedIn groups.

***INTERVIEW***

KAT: I work with so many heart-based solopreneurs who struggle when it comes to writing their bios and social media profiles. They swing back and forth between worrying about sounding too immodest and yet adequately sharing who they are and what they do. What advice can you give us for writing our LinkedIn profiles that provides a good balance?

MELONIE: The secret is to make your profile client focused. If you write a profile that is client focused, it removes the issue of talking about yourself altogether. Your profile should be written with the intent to help your ideal clients to find you when searching, self select themselves and quickly determine that you understand their problems and have a solution.

To do this you must not only understand your ideal clients well but you must use the language that they would use to identify you and your product or services as well as themselves and their needs.

KAT: When considering which LinkedIn groups to belong to, is it better to choose ones that are relevant to our business field and areas of personal interest or groups that aren’t but have members who represent our ideal clients? Can you give us an example relevant to a service-based solopreneur?

MELONIE: The majority of the groups you belong to should be groups that your ideal clients belong to.

LinkedIn allows you to join up to 50 and I would advise you to make use of all of these. A good balance when joining groups would be to join up to 5 groups that are relevant to your field or industry, up to 5 groups based on your own personal interests or hobbies and 40 or more that contain your ideal clients.

For example, let’s say that you coach speakers. While you might join a couple of coaching groups, the bulk of groups that you would join would be speaking related groups, because this is where your ideal clients are.

KAT: Here at Rocking Your Path, we’re all about taking simple, effective fast action steps to help move us forward especially when we’re feeling stuck or confused. We define a fast action step as one that we can complete in 15 minutes or less. What fast actions do you recommend are best to focus on first to help us leverage our time and effort on LinkedIn?

MELONIE: Your initial fast action steps would involve updating your profile to ensure that it is complete, client focused and search optimized.

Your first action step would be to identify your top ideal clients and get to really know them. Think about what their hopes and fears are, what language they use and how they identify and describe themselves. After you have completed this you can break down your profile in to a number of fast action steps and update each of those sections with the information about your ideal clients that you just created.

Interview with Dan Hanneman on Spiritual Rock Star

By Kat Sturtz Leave a Comment

Dan Hanneman

Dan HannemanDan says his intuition suggested he contact me to fill in as guest on his Spiritual Rock Star show May 15th when his scheduled guest couldn’t make it.

I don’t believe in coincidences. So, if there are no coincidences how else could I response but with a Yes!

Even when Dan called at 2:50pm for his live show scheduled to air at 3:00pm!  Holy energies!

It ended up being an awesome experience, not to mention opened the doors to new opportunities.

Thanks Dan.    Thanks Universe.
