I didn’t always used to … but I do now. It’s habit. Ingrained in me as solidly as brushing my teeth and combing my hair. It’s made a difference in my life. It has real potential to make a difference in yours, too.
It’s a simple task. It’s even one of the first baby steps in the Flylady system (simplified house cleaning and decluttering), too.
The Bed Habit
I didn’t used to always make my bed, especially back on the farm because I frequently climbed back in for a little nap after morning milking. But a few years ago I started making it every morning as soon as I got up.
Reluctantly many days at first. However, it was surprising how quickly it changed into a automatic habit. So much so that nowadays it’s difficult to walk away from the bedroom without at least straightening the covers.
