This morning I was reminded of a quote by Mitch Albom. It’s from his 1997 book, ” target=”_blank”>
“The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and let it come in.”
That prompted me to create the quote, “Giving love provides no balance in our life unless we also allow it to flow back to us and are willing to accept it graciously” and the image below.
Please feel free to share it. And let me know how these quotes, Mitch’s and mine, or another favorite of your own, inspires you.
I love tuesdays with Morrie ~ especially on a rainy Sunday afternoon…thanks for giving me the inspiration to take it off the shelf!!!
Have you ever watched the movie version, Laura? I haven’t. Was wondering if the vibes were much different — better or worse — than the original book.
Kathy~ I have not seen the movie. I watch very little TV/movies/media. It would be interesting to hear thoughts on it though!
Hi Kathy. That is a very uplifting quote. I would change one word to make it more meaningful to me: “Giving lovehelp provides no balance in our life unless we also allow it to flow back to us and are willing to accept it graciously” As with love, how easy is it to help somebody but be unwilling to let someone help us? When we do, we’re denying blessings to other. Thanks for making me think.
All the best,
Leslie
